EXCERPT FROM INDIAN NEWSPAPER (Rajkot Darshan) DATED 13th December 2004

Naginbhai Jagada lives in Dallas, USA. He visits India once on twice every year. And on every trip he comes to Rajkot, his motherland that he has not forgotten after almost 40 years of living abroad. On every such visit, whether short or long, he joins hands with Bharat Vikas Parishad, Anandnagar branch of Rajkot. His energy magically transfers to the board members and volunteers alike and transforms into a unique “yagna” to help poor students, widows, homeless, orphans, senior citizens and other under privileged people. His mission in life is to help the poor.

The honorable members of Bharat Vikas Parishad have 5 principles that they live by and work hard to preserve in their community – Contact, Cooperation, Culture, Service and Dedication.

During his recent visit to Rajkot he was part of numerous events and charity drives, some of which are listed below:

11/22/04 – Ramnik Kunwarba Aashram received donations of saris and footwear for the physically disabled inmates at a ceremony where the inmates and volunteers were also provided refreshments by Mr. Jagada
11/23/04 –70 elderly women of the Ratanpar Vridhashram received donations of saris and footwear
11/27/04 - Members of Bharat Vikas Parishad celebrated the onset of the Gujarati New Year with Mr. Jagada during a meet and greet at the Masonic Hall in Rajkot
12/3/04 - In Dholera, donations were made to the Dikranu Ghar (a home for the elderly), which included clothes and footwear for 150 elderly men and women also distributed 200
footwear and 200 t-shirts to slum-dwellers in Dholera.
12/4/04 – Rajkot Municipal Corporation School # 87 received donation of t-shirts and footwear for 150 students
12/5/04 – Approximately 250 slum dwellers around the Saurashtra University Road received donations of clothes and footwear.

During this visit Mr. Jagada laid the foundation for a unique project called “Vidhwa Sahay Project”. This project will make arrangements to provide 15 families of financially impaired widows with wheat, rice and lentils for an entire year.

Armed with financial support, heart full of compassion and energy to inspire, he brings joy to the lives of the needy in his motherland. Helping him in his mission are the board members and volunteers of the Bharat Vikas Parishad and his brother Mr. Bharat Jagada.
